Goodbye Better - A Musical Compilation
(Goodbye Better)

This comp from the Brooklyn label, Goodbye Better features an eclectic mix of musical styles and concerns, from lo-fi oddities to the post-DC rumpshaking of Rahim and Cut The Wires. While not every track appeals to me, I like the idea of what the poet Thomas Sayers Ellis calls “preaching to a mixed congregation”. The standout artists to me, are the above mentioned bands as well as So L'il, Menegaur and I Feel Tractor. With that said, there is something on this comp to meet your Indie needs and the best part about it, you may ask? It is free! Go to their website to get your hands on one, and while you are at it order another title. This is really a label that is committed to releasing interesting and aesthetically challenging music.
