This comp from the Brooklyn label, Goodbye Better features an eclectic mix of musical styles and concerns, from lo-fi oddities to the post-DC rumpshaking of Rahim and Cut The Wires. While not every track appeals to me, I like the idea of what the poet Thomas Sayers Ellis calls “preaching to a mixed congregation”. The standout artists to me, are the above mentioned bands as well as So L'il, Menegaur and I Feel Tractor. With that said, there is something on this comp to meet your Indie needs and the best part about it, you may ask? It is free!
